Retirement Function for Shri K R Radhakrishnan, Sr. Steno (ACP), Shri G Viswanath, Assitant (G) Gr-I from CSIR-CLRI and Shri M Boopathy, Secretary, CLRI Staff Co-operative Thrift and Credit Society Ltd. in April 2012.

Ellaruku Vanakkam

There is research institute called “Sri Maharshi Research Institute of Vedic Technology“ (www.srivt.org/index.php) which got National Innovation Award for their research.  There is a ‘Nano Copper’ material copper with mulikai (herbs)- which was developed by this institute. Generally ships are used to be repaired once in a year or two for their bottom which was affected in sea with many organic and inorganic materials.  They use coating for not to rust further in the bottom side.  But after this invention of nano copper coating, ships won’t rust within 6 years and bottom of ship will be safe. Weight is also less than the regular earlier coating.  This institute was recognized by IIT, Chennai to do Ph.D in this Institute at Hyderabad.

Shorthand also like less weight and write the sounds.  Sir Isaac Pitman invented this shorthand in 1837.  Stenos used to write P B T D sounds with thickness to know the sounds of particular word.  Tamilians are having a distinct advantage of learning in short hand because tamil writing is also writing sounds.  Ninety percent of stenographers are from Tamil Nadu only.  Other languages do not have this advantage. There are many stenographers in Government departments earlier, after computers, this has lost importance but even now there are many posts available in many government departments. Shri Radhkrishnan has worked in this steno group and worked efficiently.  He use to have many pencils in his pocket, I use to ask” Enna nariya worka or vesama podariya” and then he used to reply “work illenalum vesham podavendidan”, jovially.  Why I am telling this, he use to mingle with colleagues jovially in a good manner even though others talk differently.

Two days back, I asked his family background, he said that his second daughter to get married so he is in confusion to construct house in Neelankarai.  Now younger generations have the plan to get children at earlier age and finish all responsibilities within 55 age or before retirement.  This generation feels that the retirement money to be safeguarded for their prosperous after retirement.  Earlier people in older generation use to see the responsibilities first and then children later and now the trend has been changed.

I heard about Shri Rangasamy Elango from Kuthambakkam village (thiruvallur dist.) which is from 35 kilometers from Chennai.  He was earlier worked as a scientist in CSIR, Chennai and not able to develop his village with his job.  Then he resigned the job as Scientist and worked for the village development and he made this village as Model Village in India.  He made many things for the village like saving rain water, establish small scale industries, CFT lights - saving electricity and money and did many things.  (You can check up in the internet and youtube about his works in the village).  I came to know that Shri Viswanath is going to his village for agriculture farming.  Earlier he asked me about the Australian technology that water vapour which was extracted from the air and solved the water problem for the plant.  He is having so much curious about the technologies. He is going with CSIR knowledge which is helpful to other farmers in that village.

Today Shri M Boopathy, Secretary, CLRI staff co-operative thrift and credit society ltd is also retiring from the service.  He also worked very efficiently for the CLRI society. Both Society and CLRI retirement function timings are the same, he is not able to attend here.  (Since it is not under CLRI and it comes under registrar of societies).  I prey almighty to give good health and prosperity to him.

I prey almighty to give good and prosperous health to Shri Radhakrishnan and Shri Viswanath.

 Thank you,
